A little about the
OC....... Orange County is California’s
premier destination for play, home to world-famous theme
parks, like Disneyland. You can cover it all in OC from
family fun destinations to adults only casinos and
nightlife, Orange County offers just about
everything.
Located in the heart of Anaheim
is the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland features eight
themed lands and of course classic Disney characters.
Family favorite attractions and rides, live
entertainment, shops, restaurants and so much more.
Disney’s newest theme park, California Adventure, is
inspired by the fun, diverse and inovative spirit of
California with four themed lands representing
California. Downtown Disney is an lively and energetic
market place filled with unique, fun and beautiful
shops, themed restaurants and entertainment venues such
as famous House of Blues and ESPN Sports Zone.
Originally a family owned berry
farm in the 1920s, Knott’s Berry Farm has “grown-up” to
become one of the most popular theme parks. The park
features thrill rides including the GhostRider wooden
roller coaster and the high-speed Xcelerator, as well as
an authentic western Ghost Town and Camp Snoopy, home of
the PEANUTS gang, making it an attraction that the whole
family can enjoy. Knott’s Berry Farm’s newest
attractions, RipTide and Silver Bullet It also host one
of Southern California's most popular Halloween events,
Knotts Halloween Haunt aka: Knotts Scary Farm. Christmas
time at Knotts Berry farm is transformed into Knotts
Merry Farm.
In addition to theme parks,
Orange County offers a variety of other sights and
entertainment venues including Medieval Times, an
elaborate themed “dinner tournament” featuring authentic
jousting, sword fighting, equestrian routines and
medieval cuisine; and the Movieland Wax Museum with more
than 400 lifelike figures of famous movie and television
celebrities spanning several decades of film
history.
Not far from Anaheim is the
Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach features more than
12,000 marine animals. LEGOLAND™ California, located in
Carlsbad in San Diego County, offers more than 50 rides,
shows and attractions for both children and adults.
Universal Studios Hollywood gives you an inside peek at
the sets and secrets of legendary films and a chance for
you to participate in the thrilling world of movies; the
world-famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park features
more than 4,000 animals this is truly an unforgetable
experience that includes giant pandas, koalas and Komodo
dragons just to name a few.
